Rosebank House, Bed and Breakfast in the Trossachs, Perthshire, Scotland

About Us

Mal Dingle returned to her Scottish roots when she moved to Rosebank House in April 2003. She had lived in England since her school days, mainly in London but most recently in Cornwall. Her formal training was in art but she pursued a career in arts administration and latterly worked as a college librarian.

Paul Holt, Mal's partner, a school friend from London, moved from Reading in September 2005 after working for many years in a variety of IT roles. Now supposedly semi-retired, he is to be found vacuuming, serving and washing up at Rosebank House. He is also responsible for this website and its optimisation.

Since moving to Rosebank House our aim has been to bring the house up to 21st century standards of comfort whilst preserving and where possible restoring the period features of the property. Thus, as examples, we have installed full central heating and double glazing and have had the external stonework of the house restored to its former glory.

We are both keen gardeners and are undertaking a planting programme aimed at establishing as wide a range of shrubs as possible. The winter climate here makes that something of a challenge!

Paul is a keen walker and has climbed most of the mountains in the immediate area. We have a wide selection of maps and walking books available in the lounge.

We also have as an objective to provide the best possible service and accommodation at affordable prices. We continually strive to reduce our cost base but with the overriding criterion that our guests' experience must not be compromised.
